Personal details

Jonas Amsler completed his studies at the KIT with a Master’s degree in Chemistry in 2019. Between semesters he worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology in Pfinztal on topics ranging from metal-organic frameworks and polymer dispersions to micro reaction technology. In 2016 he visited Prof. Dr. Tachibana at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne, Australia, to investigate Perovskite nanocrystals for photovoltaic applications. In 2018 he took advantage of the opportunity to broaden his experience in chemical simulation at BASF in Tarrytown (New York, USA). Since 2019 he works as a PhD student with Prof. Dr. Studt at KIT focusing on modeling the zeolite-catalyzed MTO process (methanol to olefins). Besides he is interested in the simulation of Supported Single Atom Catalysis.
