Personal details
Lucas Warmuth studied chemistry at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He completed his doctorate with Prof. Feldmann on the synthesis of nanomaterials in 2020. Since 2021 he is postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Catalysis Research and Technology (IKFT) in the group of Dr. Stephan Pitter “Catalysis and processes for CO2 fixation”. He works on material technology issues: from the synthesis of nanostructured catalysts and their characterization to the investigation of targeted deactivation in the catalytic process.
Scientific assistants and candidates for theses (bachelor & master) on the following topics are regularly sought:
- Development of syntheses for novel catalyst materials
- Deactivation of catalysts under specific conditions
- Analytical investigations of material changes
Further tasks and memberships
- Elected member of the committee for insitute affairs (2023-now)
- Promotional scholar of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (2018-2020)
- Organisation of fire protection commissioners
- Member of the German Chemical Society
- Member of the German Catalysis Society
